SIG chief executive Gavin Slark has announced plans to leave the company at the end of the year to take up a senior role at Travis Perkins.
Slark will continue to lead the building materials distributor through a transition period, stepping down no later than 31 December 2025. He is expected to begin his new role at Travis Perkins at the start of 2026.
SIG has launched a recruitment process to identify a successor.
Chairman Andrew Allner said Slark had guided the group through challenging market conditions in the European construction sector.
“He will leave in place strong and experienced leaders in each of our businesses,” he said.
Allner added that the executive team and board remained focused on delivering existing initiatives to improve performance. “These will continue to drive the Group’s operating and financial results,” he said.
