Lainey Wilson is surely feeling thankful after receiving a special gift from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ daughter, Charlotte Jones.

“Every cowgirl needs a pair of @dccheerleaders Boots … Especially one with a heart of gold!” Charlotte, 58, captioned Instagram pics of herself signing a shoebox containing a pair of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders boots for Wilson, 32, on Thursday, November 28.

Charlotte thanked the country star for having a “beautiful heart” in her sweet shoebox message, as well as stated that the team’s fans and the DCC were “ready to rock out with you” during the Cowboy’s 2024 Thanksgiving Halftime Show.

The DCC’s Instagram page praised the gift — which also included Cowboys merch and an illustration of Wilson with two of the cheerleaders — in the post’s comments, writing, “& now we’re matching with @laineywilson 💌.”

Before the Cowboys defeated the New York Giants during Thursday’s Thanksgiving match, Wilson was accompanied by the DCC for her halftime set at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The group danced alongside Wilson as she performed a medley of her greatest hits, including “Heart Like a Truck,” “Hang Tight Honey,” “4x4xU,” “Save Me” with Jelly Roll and “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”

Ahead of the show, Wilson received a special video message from last year’s Cowboys halftime show headliner, Dolly Parton. “I’m excited to pass the Salvation Army bell to you as this year’s Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime performer. Hey, I’m really proud of you for using your incredible talents to help those in need,” Parton, 78, said in the clip shared via AT&T Stadium’s Instagram. “And as your biggest cheerleader — Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, that is — we can’t wait to watch you light up that stage on Thanksgiving. So, good luck, and I will be cheering you on.”

The show also focused on the personal lives of a few DDC rookies and veterans — including Reece Weaver and Kelcey Wetterberg — as well as director Kelli Finglass, choreographer Judy Trammell and Charlotte, who is the Cowboys’ executive vice president and chief brand officer. The reality show quickly became a hit, landing in Netflix’s U.S. Top 10 List for five weeks and landing in the Top 10 in nearly 30 other countries.

Netflix announced that the series will return for a second season in 2025 earlier this month with a clip of the dancers forming a No. 2 on the ground with their poms. “DCC season 2 woo!” they exclaimed in the announcement clip.
