GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Consumers Energy is working to restore power to thousands of customers following a Saturday morning storm.
What to do during a power outage
According to the Consumers Energy outage map, as of about 10:40 p.m. Saturday, about 27,000 customers across the state of Michigan were without power. In West Michigan, the following outages have been reported in each county:
Most of the power outages in West Michigan were estimated to be restored by Sunday morning, according to the map.
Few lingering showers and storms possible Saturday afternoon
Authorities confirmed downed power lines in Calhoun, Allegan and Newaygo counties Saturday.
An area-wide wind advisory was in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday for non-thunderstorm winds gusting as high as 55 mph.
