In a close primary race for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District, Republican Abraham Hamadeh earned the right to move on to the general election coming later this year.

Decision Desk HQ made the call earlier this evening.

Hamadeh was one of several Republicans in the race, including former Senate candidate Blake Masters.

The results were too close to call on election day, which was Tuesday. However, it now appears that Hamadeh has secured the win.

Interestingly, Hamadeh was one of two candidates endorsed by former president Donald Trump over the weekend, the other being Masters. He made the endorsement on Truth Social.

“Blake Masters is a very successful businessman, and an incredibly strong supporter of our Movement to Make America Great Again – He is smart and tough!” Trump told his followers on Sunday. “Likewise, Abe Hamadeh, a Veteran, former prosecutor, and fearless fighter for Election Integrity, has been with me all the way!”

“In Congress, we need a true Warrior who will work tirelessly with us to Grow our Economy, Stop Inflation, Secure our Border, End Migrant Crime, Support our Great Military/Vets, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment,” he also said.

Hamadeh will face off against Democrat Gregory Whitten in November. Whitten won the spot on the ballot unopposed in his party’s primary.
